Linyi city is the largest commodity distribution center in the region of Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan, and Anhui province and is one of the biggest commodity distribution centers in China as well. Trade logistics has been the local competitive industry. It covers a large share in the service industry and has formed a large wholesale market of mobility of people, logistics, capital flow and information flow. Facing tremendous service opportunities in Linyi Wholesale Mall, Linyi Post gains only a small proportion in it. The research, which analyzes the current situation and the causes of the existing problems, develops strategies upgrading service, identifies the entry point of Linyi Post serving Linyi economic and social development and builds bridges between postal services and geographical characteristics of the economic and social development in Linyi actively, enables Linyi Post to provide more convenient, comfortable, inexpensive and thoughtful services to users. It is of great significance in promoting economic and social development and postal efficiency.This thesis analyzes the current status of Linyi postal service, carefully anatomizes the problems of the current postal service and bottleneck restricting the development; Basing on how to provide good service to the commerce logistics city of Linyi, this paper also actively explores the prominent problems and contradictions that exist in the process of postal services. It brings a careful analysis to series issues and tries to find out reasons accounting for them. Problems are as follows:Weak brand awareness, obscure advantage of service network, serious shortage of service platform construction, needs to be improved of the quality of postal services, etc. This paper proposes different upgrading strategies for prominent problems by applying documentary investigation and survey methods. In the regard of external situation, this paper suggest to continue to strengthen brand awareness, and actively seek local government’s policy support, then create a good external social environment of postal development, so as to promote the overall service quality of the of Linyi postal service and service levels;In the regard of internal situation, this paper propose to study the different characteristics of the service product, and to play to the strengths of full co-operation network service, so as to further enhance the depth and breadth of services; It also advice that enhance the quality of services, and actively introduce social supervision and evaluation system, so as to enhance Linyi postal service comprehensively.It also explores the internal and external situations of Linyi Post serving the Mall and contrasts the service capacity and conditions with other competitors (specialized banks, individual distribution stations, other e-commerce operators, other service agencies of newspaper and periodical retailers) to put forward the corresponding countermeasures.To solve the current problems facing the development of commercial Linyi City, the paper inducts the demands of commercial Linyi City, to Linyi Post into the following aspects: creating distinctive brand image and enhancing its influence; making best use of post comprehensive services and enhancing the business environment and concepts; transforming trade means and promoting the e-commerce actively; building a modern logistics centre and elevating its functions.Finally, the paper proposes three strategies for Linyi Post to boost the development of commercial Linyi city:Firstly, to enhance the all-around logistics level of the city:fully integrating the postal internal resources and rationalizing the post logistics; establishing a competitive supply chains with integrating the external resources; developing logistics and financial business relying on post savings bank; speeding up the construction of logistics information and improving the company’s core competitiveness; Developing value-added services and finding new ways of profits growth; enhancing the management of Linyi postal logistics through research cooperation.Secondly, to provide superior financial services to the city:basing on the positioning of retailing bank and focusing on top financial service to small customers; establishing cooperation mechanism between bank and government, bank and enterprises to establish and improve the customers information database; increasing the savings balance in markets and logistics centers; breaking through the financial business and insurance agents; achieving the breakthroughs of business development with the comprehensive management of banking networks and channels; enhancing the ability of deposit through business linkage.Thirdly, to construct advanced e-commerce network platforms for the cityl:clearing development ideas to expand e-commerce business with the core of comprehensive service platform and the multi-level and three-dimensional interface of business acceptance as postal outlets,11185,183website, SMS platform, releasing terminal; adapting to features of the Mall to act for telecommunications, tickets, post etiquette services, express logistics, newspaper and periodical releasing agents; meeting demands of the Mall with the reforms of institutions and mechanisms as well as improving the convenience and speed; intensifying the publicity of the advanced e-commerce network platforms and let more people know and use them; developing rural markets and tapping the market potential to achieve the transformation for the postal enterprises from e-commerce retail service providers to integrated e-commerce service providers.
