With further adjustment of China’s energy and industrial policy, the condition of economic,political, legal, cultural as well as technical environment which China’s oil industry rely on hasundergone tremendous changes. Daqing Oilfield Venture Group as one number of the China’soil industry is in its period of rapid development, how to achieve the Group’s objectives and toensure the continued development of the Group in such a competitive market environment isone of the challenges which it faces. Combined with the reality of Daqing Oilfield VentureGroup, the formulation of development strategies which suitable for its characteristics,and tohelp it find the future development prospects and the direction is of great significance.Therefore, based on the strategy theory summarized,the paper use of literature, interviewsresearch method to analysis the status quo of Daqing Oilfield Venture Group, to formulate amore scientific and practical development strategy.First, the paper introduces the research significance, research background, research methodsand research framework, and focus on strategic knowledge to lay a solid theoretical foundationfor the development of the strategy formulation; Second, on the basis of analyzing VentureGroup’s existing data and interviewing the relevant department’s leader, using a variety ofstrategic analysis tools to analysis its strategic environment from inside and outside. To specificthe part that the strategy development should focus on, identify its problems. Finally, on thebasis of theoretical study and practical analysis, worked out the development strategy andsafeguards which based on the strategic map that in line with the reality of Daqing Oilfieldventure Group, to provide support for the further development of it.Through this research, the author hope the development strategy can combine the Group’sshort-term and long-term goals, short-term and long-term interests from four levels of strategymap (financial, customer, internal processes, and learning and growth) and unify employees’behavior of the Group to make their efforts towards common strategic goals,then to promoterapid and healthy development of the venture Group.There are also several weak points about this paper, such as lacking of data collection andlacking of quantitative research.
