Countermeasure Research Of The Development Of Yanchang Apple Industry During The Northward Expansion Of Yan’an Apple Industry

Apple is one of the most important agricultural products of Shaanxi Province.As the pillar industry and advantage industry in Shaanxi Loess Plateau, appleindustry plays a more and more important role in promoting regional economicdevelopment and peasents income. Apple industry of Yan’an is of importantposition in Shaanxi, while the northward expansion of Yan’an apple industry isimportant for the continuous steady development of Shaanxi apple industry. Inthis paper, we analyzed the position of Yanchang apple industry in the northwardexpansion of Yan’an apple industry, systematically summarized the advantagesand problems of Yanchang apple industry, and put forward some developmentstrategies from the view of policy and technology support and industrializationdevelopment by collecting the relevant information and filed survey, in order topromote Yanchang apple industry under the background of the northward expansion of Yan’an apple industry.The development of Yanchang apple industry plays an important role in thecourse of northward expansion of Yan’an apple industry. Yanchang, theconnected fort of Shaanxi and Shaanxi, occuping a key position among Yan’annorthern counties, is a key region of the northward expansion of Yan’an appleindustry. What’s more, Yanchang has rich land resources, adequate year-roundrainfall and good industrial foundation. The apple cultivates area of Yanchangwas0.3million acres, accounting for20%of that in the northern Yan’an, whilethe annual apple production was0.1million tons, accounting for40%of that inthe northern Yan’an. It’s obvious that the development of Yanchang appleindustry is of great importance.The continuous development of Yanchang apple industry has a goodfoundation. In recent years, Yanchang apple industry has gained some success,laying down a solid foundation for making Yanchang apple industry ‘bigger andstronger’. Yanchang has increased the apple cultivates area and production, builtmany demonstration parks, trained farmers for many times, developed appleprocessing. In addition, the superior conditions of climate, policy, fund and thestrong apple brand competitiveness of Yanchang lay the foundation of Yanchangapple industry. However, the apple industry of Yanchang still exists manyproblems: lack of knowledge and understanding, weak technological power, labor shortage; difficulty of land assembly, imperfect industry chain and lowdegree of standardization.Establishing and perfecting positive policies will be needed to developapple industry of Yanchang. The first mission is to increase efforts in financeand policy support and establish agriculture land transfer mechanism, in order toattract investment, decrease labour loss and perfect infrastructure of orchard.Secondly, Yanchang need to improve support of science and technology andenhance the constructions of technology service system and the demonstrationgarden. At last, it’s important to improve the commercialization level, developcompanies of storage, sales and process, speed the brand construction, extendthe industrial chain, and increase the industrial added value.
