| The apple yield of Shaanxi Province had transcended Shandong Province in2009, achieving the first place in area and yield of apple in China. Yan’an is the major apple producing areas of Shaanxi Province. By the end of2012, cultivating area has reached3.1million acres, total output has reached2.7million tons, the all two indicators occupy one-third of the country and one-ninth of Shaanxi Province. However, for a long time, the apple production of Yan’an between north and south shows unbalanced situation, the development of the northern part is relatively backward. Yanchang has a prominent location in the northern part of Yan’an; it is one of the key areas for Yan’an apple’s north expansion. Recently, Yanchang’s apple industry has achieved rapid development, by the end of2012, the county’s apple area has reached295000acres, and accounting for20%of the northern counties of Yan’an, total output has reached250000tons, accounting for40%of the northern counties in Yan’an. But, in order to promote the sustained and rapid development of Yanchang apple, many problems still need to be solved. This article firstly analyzes the current situation of apple production in Yanchang, then analyzes the input and output elements of apple production, researches the effects of different input and output factors for planters through empirical analysis of sample data. The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly, apple has become the leading industry of agriculture in Yanchang; apple has become the main source of income for Yanchang peasant. Secondly, labor cost, fertilizer cost, pesticides cost, bag cost, machinery cost and irrigation cost are the main part cost for Yanchang’s apple planters. Thirdly, Yanchang’s apple planters have advantages in output value per unit area, but have disadvantages in profit per unit area, facing the problem of high cost. Fourthly, during the input and output factors that influencing Yanchang’s apple planters, labor input is the most important, next are fertilizer input, apple bag input and technical service input, pesticides input is excessive. Finally, puts forward advises according to the results of empirical analysis. |
