Study On The Influence Of Export Trade Structure On The Economic Growth Transformation In Shandong Province

Since the reform and opening policies were introduced,the economic developmentof Shandong province has always been developing export-oriented economy,foreigntrade especially export trade has made great progress.Shandong province has abundantlabor force so that it mainly exports labor-intensive products, which just can gainshort-term trade interests in this way to participate in the international division of laborand is not conducive to the economic growth mode transformation.Therefore,it is veryimportant to study the pathways of export trade structure to the economic growth modetransformation in Shandong province and the remarkable factors influencing thepathways,which can promote the economic growth mode changing from Quantitativemode to Quality-oriented mode.This thesis mainly studys how export trade structure influences the economicgrowth mode transformation in Shandong province,on this basis,further explores theremarkable factors influencing the pathways.Firstly,according to expanded FederMode,it makes empirical analysis to panel data of17cities in Shandong provinceapplying to Stata10.0and draws the following conclusion:increasing the factorproductivity and spillover effect of manufactured products export department canpromote the economic growth mode transformation in Shandong province,however,increasing those of primary products export department can not get the sameresults,which is consistent with the policy of improving export trade structure ofShandong province:the manufactured product structure is transforming fromQuantitative mode to updating the technology.Secondly, the statistical data is dividedinto two groups according to tested factors,the paper tests them applying to Chowparameter stability test and draws the following conclusion:the remarkable factorsinfluencing the pathways are FDI,technical progress and human capital.Lastly,according to the conclusions and actual conditions in Shandong province,thethesis raises some countermeasures as follows:playing an active provincialrole;improving export trade structure,expecially manufactured productsstructure;elevating the level of utilizing FDI;improving technical progress;increasing investment on human capital and raising human capital accumulation.
