Tourism industry is the world’s largest economy industry. The number of international tourism accounts for about1/6of the world’s total population every year. Such a large-scale population "migration" made a substantial impact on the climate and environment. That caused a wide range of attention by the relevant international research institutes and academia. In2009, the State Council promulgated the file called "To Speed up the Development of Tourism", claimed that tourism should implement energy conservation projects, implement the contract energy management, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and energetically develop a circular economy in order to promote low-carbon way to travel. Tourism carbon dioxide emissions become the new hot spot in recent tourism research. The carbon footprint is an important way to research a product or service carbon emissions and reflect the direct and indirect products or services carbon emissions. It is the research focus in response to climate change by domestic and foreign academics. Tourism involved and affected many industries, such as transportation, lodging, dining, and shopping and so on. There are intersection between tourism and many other industries. If we only considered to reduce carbon emissions in these industries, it may not be able to reduce the carbon emissions in the tourism industry, because of the boundaries between these industries and tourism industry are not clear. As one of the six elements in tourist, scenic is the only one part which entirely belonged to tourism industry. If we can reduce the carbon emissions of scenic, when scenic become true sense low-carbon tourism scenic, reducing carbon emissions must make travel carbon emissions reduced, so that tourism will develop a low-carbon travel. Thus, the author consider whether we directly build attractions which are low carbon footprint, and create a low carbon footprint attractions combination. This is what I want to research. This paper attempted to apply the theory of carbon footprint, combined with the existing computational model, then proposed new attractions carbon footprint from the point of view of the energy summation, including CO2absorbed. The author will use the new model to calculate the existing attractions carbon footprint--the Golden Pebble Beach for example. According to results, the author will classify attractions and analysis attractions combination from the point of view of the carbon footprint, and format the final attractions combinations combining with the tourists requirements of preference for attractions and attractions combinations. The author will provide a new angle for research in the field of tourism carbon footprint. Then According to the evaluation norms of PAS2050, there will be some energy conservation measures. In this paper, by the following components:The first chapter is the introduction, mainly on the research background, significance, research objectives, methods, and research ideas. The second chapter is a literature review. The author researched achievements of domestic and foreign scholars, containing the connotation, content, and calculation methods of research, and summarized carbon footprint theory and tourism carbon footprint theory from the tripartite angles. Then author summed up the research of attractions combination, of which achievements is less. The third chapter is the conclusion of attractions carbon footprint of Golden Pebble Beach and tourists’ questionnaire. The author applied the model of carbon footprint to calculate the CO2emissions to get the final results from the three aspects of energy consumption, CO2emissions and waste of the staff, combining with the raw data from the second-hand information and interview, then got the final carbon footprint results of the various tourist attractions, and evaluate attractions based on the PAS2050standard. According to the survey results, the author analyzed the basic characteristics of the tourists and the preferences of the combination of sights and attractions. The fourth chapter is analysis the low carbon footprint attractions combination of Golden Pebble Beach. In This chapter, the author summed up the principle of the existing tourist routes and analysis of the existing tourist routes based on the calculation of the carbon footprint results and interviews in the third chapter. The author restricted and analyzed the attractions combining classification of attractions, tourists’preferences and principle of tourist routes in the previous chapter, then provided energy conservation measures and analyzed the possibility of the use of low-carbon footprint attractions. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, which summarized the research results of the paper, pointing out that there is a lack of research and look forward to researching about attractions combination and carbon footprint in the future, hoping to play a reference to the research of low-carbon footprint attractions combination.
