HX company is a high-tech enterprise. The major business of HX company isdesigning, handling and manufacturing the non-standard components. Theseproducts are manufacturing as the customers’ personalized demands and at theappointed time. All the features are the same to the specificality and conditionalityof project. Therefore, HX company combines the characteristics of non-standardcomponents with project, applying the theories of project management tomanufacturing. At the set time, we manage projects by using the knowledge oforganization, process and method of project management.After a decade of development and effort, HX company has grown rapidly. Thesales revenue has been more than one hundred million. However, with the rapiddevelopment of technique and economy, it exposes problems more. It’s hard to fit inthe great development needs with the existing project management level and projectprocess. In addition, the organizational structure can’t coordinate with the process.In order to solve all problems, improve the project management standard andincrease the efficiency of process. The research aims at the present situation of HXcompany, optimize the process of project management.The structure of this paper is divided into six chapters. Firstly, introduce thetheories of project management, project life cycle and business processreengineering. Then make a description of the SWOT matrix analysis and Delphitechnique. Secondly, describe the present situation of project management andproject management process in HX company separately. At the same time, analyzethe five stages’ problems in detail.Next, base on the theories and the problems of each stage, optimize process ofproject management. What’s more, set the work of stage evaluation, control the project time, quality and cost. It won’t continue until the work is done and problemsare solved. Only that can enter the next stage. In the development stage, analyze theinternal and external condition by SWOT matrix analysis. Trough the analysis, knowthe threats and opportunity the company faced, master the strength and weakness inthe company. Additionally, make a scientific choice and decision, determine thepriority of projects. In the planning stage, add the plans of project milestone, projectresource, project risk, project purchase management, project change managementand project communication management. Enhance cost evaluation and examination,improve the project quality plan. The unique purpose of doing these is to guaranteethe integrity, dynamics and accuracy. In the control stage, use the Project software totrace project schedule and cost, increase the control of time quality and cost. If thedeviations appear, make sure and take measures immediately. At the same time,strengthen and compete the procurement management and change management.Trough reviewing, the project schedule quality and cost plan can smoothly continue.In the acceptance stage, build the link of spot rectification to make sure the problemscan be solved in time. In the meantime, standardize the files. In the close stage, addthe process of project summary and evaluation. Analyze the effect of project, andmake a conclusion and experience. The deciders can make right choices by theseconclusions. And these can also be used as reference.However, the optimized process of project management will meet manyobstructions in effect. So it needs leader’s support, performance assessment andpersonal training mechanism and project management information system.Meanwhile, establish the strong matrix organization structure. Finally, conclude thispaper and advance the prospect.
