With the social progress and the improvement of people’s living standards, the broad masses of the people put forward higher requirements for quality of life, including food safety, after solving the basic problem of eating and clothing. However, no matter how hard the government work, the problem of food security in China is still unsatisfactory, food safety incidents frequency be reported. The contradiction between the people’s requirements of food safety and the low level of food safety supervision in China’s now is more and more obvious.Government failure and market failure food safety supervision in the context of the current situation requires us to seek for NGO to involved.Firstly, on the basis of the research and practical experience of non-government organizations involved in food safety supervision, taking a theoretical analysis on the feasibility of NGO in food safety supervision theoretical. Then we know that the NGO involved in food safety supervision in China depends on government failure and market failure as well as non-governmental organizations’own characteristics.Secondly, by analyzing the present situation and problems of China’s NGO involved in food safety supervision, finding the lack of non-governmental organizations involved in food safety supervision is NGO involved in the regulatory is in low status and be not fully recognized.Finally, through empirical analysis of Dalian food culture association involved in food safety supervision, to further verify the feasibility and advantages of the NGO involved in food safety supervision.Taking China’s NGO involved in food safety regulatory status and national conditions, proposing measures of strengthening the support of national policy, improving the NGO self-constructions and mobilizing the supervision of the social forces, hope to provide new ideas in the perspective of NGO to participate in China’s food safety supervision.
