| Sense of self-efficacy is a one of the important factors affecting the performanceof employees. Related theories have been developing preliminarily abroad andgradually attract attention/focus of domestic scholars. However, few of their worksinvolves the effect of performance due to perceived self-efficacy concerning specificresearch personnel. This paper fill this theory gap with a lot of research on therelationships between self-efficacy expectancy and all dimensionalities of researchpersonnel’s performances. Specifically we focus on improving performance by meansof improve the self-efficacy beliefs of research employees, and furthermore help toestablish appropriate enterprise-scale inspiring mechanism to enhance sustainablecompetitive power. This paper chooses the sense of self-efficacy of research personnelas the very special angle of view, and study the impact of their performance, which isof important significance both realistically and theoretically.Based on the integration of perceived self-efficacy theory and work performancetheory, this paper gives a systematic study on the composition and dimension divisionof research and development personnel’s sense of self-efficacy beliefs and workperformance. A model suitable for describing the relationship between self-efficacyexpectancy and work performance of research and development personnel is proposed. In this paper, we first put forward a hypothesis according to the theory model builtand design the questionnaire to collect the necessary information of research anddevelopment personnel, such as personal background, efficacy expectancy, workperformance etc. We quantize the personnel background, the influence of eachdimension of perceived self-efficacy on work performance, and then analyze themusing SPSS17.0, a famous statistical analytical software, to verify the hypothesisproposed. Through our research, we find that the age, marital status, work seniority ofthe personal background variable can affect perceived self-efficacy significantly. Thereexists a notable positive relation between each dimension of perceived self-efficacyand work performance: the career mission dimension has a linear regression relation with neither the task performance nor the relation performance; stress abilitydimension has a linear relationship with relation performance, but not taskperformance; cognition and development, interpersonal communication, innovationand learning, body and mind control, these four dimensions all have a linear regressionrelationship with the two dimensions of work performance. |
