| With the idea of lifelong learning is deeply rooted among the people what enter into a learning time, the times are calling informal learning,which is a new, flexible way of learning to adapt to people’s work, study, entertainment and living. With the popularization of computers,and widely used information technology, People can enter in the form of "zero" to complete tasks using computers, which achieves the Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS) providing the realistic foundation and possibility, so EPSS is called the21st century learning tool. With the development of economic globalization, rapidly changing workplace, tasks becoming more complex, increasing fierce competition, enterprises gradually emphasize on the power of informal learning in the workplace. This thesis, on basis of absorbing domestic and foreign research results of informal learning, from the perspective of EPSS, combines the meeting points of EPSS and informal learning, extracts the connotation of informal learning based on EPSS, takes the vehicle maintenance employees learning based on on-board diagnostic system----VCDS ZHS908.1as an example, deeply analyses the effects of informal learning based on EPSS, and then proves that informal learning based on EPSS is an effective way of learning in the workplace. Thus, This thesis is divided into the following five parts:The first part introduces the research of background,status,content,ideas and methods of the research.The second part focuses on the theories of informal learning and EPSS, including the connotation,characteristics,classification,form of informal learning, and the connotation characteristics, types,composition of EPSS.The third part discusses the meeting points of informal learning and EPSS, refines the connotation, characteristics, key of designment and significances of informal learning based on EPSS,focuses on the characteristics,key of designment and significance of informal learning based on EPSS. The characteristics of of informal learning based on EPSS include the polymerization of learning and work, the authentic situations of learning, naturally occurring learning, performance-oriented learning, self-directed learning, distributed learning, case-based reasoning and simulation of learning, knowledge sharing of learning. The key of designment of informal learning based on EPSS is task analysis. The significances of informal learning based on EPSS include improving professional ability of employees, an innovative way of learning, motivating employees to the expert direction, promoting formation of corporate culture.The fourth part introduces the on-board diagnostic system----VCDS ZHS908.1, using observational method, interviewing method and questionnaire method, deeply analyses the effects of the vehicle maintenance employees learning based on on-board diagnostic system in the workplace, proves that employees learning based on on-board diagnostic system is a typical way of informal learning based on EPSS, and then illustrates that informal learning based on EPSS is an effective way to improve the professional ability of employees, to improve the performance of employees and enterprise in the workplace.The fifth part summarizes the conclusions and disadvantages of the research,and prospects the future research directions. |
