Pingxiang is a resource-exhausted city, faced with the daunting task of the economic transformation and development. To realize the goal of Pingxiang’s successful economic and social transformation, we should not only make good use of national support policies and external resources, but also to fully explore various resources in Pingxiang In recent years, with the improvement of people’s living standards, in the context of the vigorous development of cultural industry around China, consumption on Red culture tourism has become increasingly popular, and become a major force to escalate economic growth and transformation. Pingxiang, which possesses a rich red and cultural resources, attaches great importance to the development and utilization of red cultural tourism resources, which puts a strong impetus to the economic and social transformation and development in Pingxiang. However, the red tourism resources development in Pingxiang is still in its infancy due to it’s late start. With a series of historical and practical reasons, the potential of the development and utilization of Pingxiang’s red tourism resources is difficult to obtain sufficient play. We must make efforts to solve the various bottlenecks of Red tourism resources development during the process of economic and social transformation to achieve the first rise in Jiangxi.I hope the research conclusions can be useful for the promotion of the development and utilization of Pingxiang’s red tourism resources, and the full realization of the economic and social transformation of Pingxiang.
