In the knowledge-based economy, human resource has already become the foundation for enterprises to survive and compete. Salary system designed scientifically is an important part of human resource work in corporations; it is integral part of the incentive system core. Because of its irreplaceable role, salary system has become a critical issue in the process of enterprise management. A reasonable salary system not only saves a great deal of production cost, also can greatly give a boost to the morale of the employees. Enterprise strategy should become the starting point of salary system design; the ultimate purpose of this design is to incent and attract the core employees. By applying modern salary theories, case study, questionnaire, document retrieval and other interrelated theories, this essay takes a scientific study of the salary system of sales staff in FQ Corporation and recommends a new set of salary system for it.This thesis is composed of seven chapters. Firstly, it illustrates the definition of salary system and other interrelated theories. Next, this essay takes research and analysis on the brief condition of FQ Corporation, especially focusing on the salary system of sales staff, thereby finding the problems existing in the salary system of sales staff and analyzing the inherent causes. At last, the specific design approaches are discussed in detail, including structural adjustment of marketing system, work analysis, early-stage preparation for salary investigation, discussion on assessing job value and designing a reasonable salary structure. In conclusion, the author of this essay indicates that only can the scientific, competitive and equal salary system fit the practical situation and future development; meanwhile wishes this essay to be helpful to companies with similar problems.
