After May2012, the coal market of China has changed significantly. On the one hand, the supply of coal continues to increase because of the growing number of coal production and imported coal; on the other hand, the demand of coal continues to shrink because of the sharply declining price of coal and the sharply increasing cost of coal marketing. This phenomenon leads to increasing pressure on the coal marketing of China. Shaanxi Coal Transportation (Group) Corporation is facing with difficulty of coal marketing. Therefore, to study and develop the marketing strategy of company has great practical significance and far-reaching strategic significance for improving coal sales and increasing company revenue.This article summarizes the relevant marketing theories, which provide theoretical support for the formulation of the coal marketing strategy about Shaanxi Coal Transportation and Marketing Group LLC; secondly, the method of quantitative analysis has been used to analyze the current situation of company. From the supply, this article analyzes the coal about types, quality, production, distribution of production and so on; from the sale, this article analyzes the coal about the sold number, distribution of sold number, methods of transport, price and marketing channels, summing up the advantages and problems of the coal marketing about the company; finally, combined with the existing problems of the coal marketing, the article develops a series strategies about coal marketing using the marketing theories, including faster to build a diversified transport system to improve ability of transportation security; improve the online trading patterns to increase economic and social benefits; raise the quality of specialized marketing to give full play to the advantages and economies of scale; intensify the quality and brand building to realize brand marketing; establish a big market to realize strategic marketing; provide support for development of strategic marketing by building a large logistics system. And develop a series of implemented safeguards for marketing strategies.
