Research On The Policies Of Land Expropriation For Infrastructure Construction Projects In Taizhou City

As urban infrastructure is the foundation of the development of a city’s economy and civilization, in recent years, with the expanding of urban size in Taizhou city, there is a rapid growth of investment in the construction of infrastructure projects, thus brings about a large amount of land expropriation and the issue of expropriation compensation. Therefore, how to resolve contradictions of land expropriation is the main concern of both the local government and academic circles.Taking Taizhou city as an example, this paper discusses the present situation and makes suggestions on the policies of land expropriation for infrastructure construction projects in small and medium-sized cities. And it includes the following three main parts:Firstly, the paper clarifies the definition and relevant theory of land expropriation for infrastructure construction. Secondly, it analyzes the present condition of the land expropriation for infrastructure construction in Taizhou city. Last but not least, the paper gives constructive suggestions about making better policies on land expropriation for infrastructure construction in Taizhou city.
