| With the rapid development of China’s SMEs, the prospect of ERP industry market isattractive, and the competition is intensified as well. The market leader, SAP, introducedSAPBO to SMEs in2004, and has taken a large market share of the domestic SMEsinformatization market soon, along with which is the tempting SAPBO consulting servicesmarket, and the booming SAPBO consulting firms. GB is one of the consulting firms, beingfaced not only huge market opportunities but also severe challenges.Unlike the general construction projects and the engineering projects, ERPimplementation is a kind of service project. How to complete the ERP implementation projectwith minimum cost, minimum time and highest quality is concerned by the decision makersof the consulting firms. In order to improve the quality of ERP implementation project in GBcompany,"people" and "process" are put forward as the core elements which determine thequality of ERP implementation project, using the project management method, businessanalysis method and implementation process method. As the three core elements of projectmanagement, cost, schedule, and quality, are mutually checked and balanced, they have to beweighted when considering improving project quality.In this paper, several major influencing factors, the existing problems and ways solvingproblems of the ERP implementation project quality management in GB are discussed firstly.Then a quality control tradeoff model is established, taking genetic algorithms methods tosolve it. This model is applied to one of GB Company’s ERP implementation projects. Inorder to analyze the way to improve the quality of ERP implementation projects the optimalsolution is calculated. Then it is compared with the actual situation to find out the differences.Finally the appropriate situation applying the model is proposed in order to provide somereference value to the academia and practice on the quality management and control of ERPimplementation project. |
