Project Risk Management Research Of CPIC Channel Management System

With the further development of domestic financial IT outsourcing industry, the market becomes more and more mature, the scope of user’s IT request is expanding, and the content is deepening. As the higher profit than the traditional IT industry, IT outsourcing industry is extremely competitive. After years of cooperation with IT outsourcer, financial clients have improved the IT outsourcing management mechanism gradually. They not only focus on the IT outsourcers selection in the pre-project, but also pay more attention to the examination of outsourcer’s management and construction ability during the project.The project of CPIC Channel Management System is the first big project and full of significance for Newtouch company after it entered into the domestic financial insurance industry. The lack of practice experience to construct similar project is a big problem that Newtouch company must face to build the project successfully. This paper suggests that, it is better to start with the project management of quality and progress, complementing with complete risk management practices, to reduce failure probability.First of all, this paper elaborates and studies the CMMI risk management process.Secondly, this paper expounds the application of the risk management process in the Channel Management System construction practice. It is divided into three parts:have a research on this risk management and prepare for it; identify the main risk of the project, and then have an analysis and evaluation on it; make a risk mitigation plan according to the knowledge of management about schedule, quality, human resource and communication.Finally, this paper has an qualitative and quantitative analysis for the implementation of this risk management process.This paper not only has practical guiding significance for newtouch company’s project management, but also will be a reference to other similar IT project construction.
