The Research On Agricultural Total Factor Productivity Of Sichuan And The Influential Factors

The stable and sustained development of Agriculture in Sichuan can’t depend on merely plunging into factors of production, for achieving the stable and sustained development, the best selection is that exploring the intensification route. And we know the core of intensification route can be depicted enlarging contribution to the growth of agriculture by accelerating the growth of agricultural total factor productivity. Much has been done to study China agricultural total factors by Domestic scholars. On the contrast, little documents are relevant to Sichuan TFP. Therefore, it is necessary to study farther Sichuan TFP. Based on that, the following problems need to be solved:how to the features of time and face variation on Sichuan TFP? How to Sichuan TFP’S convergence of general disparity of regional? Which is the influencing factors that driving or blocking the development of Sichuan TFP? All these problems are the logic chain of this paper. To solve these problems. this paper uses theory of economic growth and theory of total factor productivity to analyze mainly influence factors of Sichuan agricultural total productivity. and hope the study results are valuable to Sichuan agricultural sustained and rapid development.The convergence analysis showed that the agricultural development of Sichuan province was imbalance. According to the measure of total factor productivity and the analysis of the influence factors, we concluded the results as followings:First, the total factor productivity of Sichuan province increased year by year during the whole study period, and it was caused by the technical progress. not by the improvements of technical efficiency. More things that influenced the total factor productivity of Sichuan province included internal and external factors. The former included agricultural human capital, per capita agricultural labor capital investment, agricultural R&D spending and the supporting systems, etc. while the later included development of regional economy and society, scale business, agricultural structure adjustment degree, etc. Based on the conclusions in this article, in order to keep Sichuan agricultural sustained and rapid development, the transformation of agricultural growth and the transition from extensive growth to intensive growth mode are needed to be done well. Furthermore, give full play to government regulation and provide a good institutional environment and strong policy support for agricultural total factor productivity growth.Besides that, accelerating the effective accumulation of human capital can provide high-quality labor force and intellectual support for agricultural development.
