Jin Jiang Hotels as the first economy hotel was born in China in1997, since economy hotel industry has a better yield and its investment callback time is rather shorter, more and more investors are entering into this field, during more than ten years, new brands of them are rushing into forth continually, types of them are being innovated constantly, and expansion speed of enterprises is picking up increasing, economy hotels are going into a rapid-growth period. In recent years, along with the entry of foreign brands, domestic estate warms up, the price raises, economy hotels in our country have confronted with cost pressure. This is great concern to current investors and scholars. As for it, strategic cost management is introduced into the cost management of economy hotels, from the height of strategy, tiring to provide a theoretical basis for the economy hotels.In this paper, access to large number of documents about strategic cost management and cost management of economy hotels, theoretical framework of economy hotels strategic cost management is proposed, which has laid a theoretical foundation for further discussion; Xiamen Home inns group are as the research objects, in order to know the cost management present situation of Home inns, we chose a random sample of10branches, by using the method of questionnaire on staff survey and interviews with managers, which help to understand the situation of cost management of Home inns. We mainly use descriptive statistics of the SPSS17.0statistics software on questionnaire by quantitative analysis, on interviews by qualitative analysis; results are more accurate and more comprehensive.Through the data statistics and the interviews of the results, this research draws the following conclusions:(a) advantages of the value chain are marketing, food and beverage. Advantages of the cost drivers are production capacity, total quality management and learing;(b) the Strategic positioning is deficiencies, the deficiencies of the value chain are product development, front desk and the relationship with partners; the deficiencies of the cost drivers are technology, overflow and loss of staff.Some proposals are given to it, including: positioning new strategic, increasing R&D investment, striving to achieve win-win with partners increasing the strength of the technology and strengthening human resources management innovation.
