The emerging of services and manufacturing merging and advanced manufacturingmode lead to higher requirements of the industrial mode of production and morphology.Inthis context,the new enterprise business models-service-oriented manufacturing came out.The emergence of new manufacturing model enrich the connotation of the manufacturingmodel, and at the same time also contribute to the change and evolution of the enterprisecompetition mode.Currently, the point and each of the proposed strategy to enhance products for thecompetitive mode about the competitive advantage of enterprise is not the same, but mostscholars have expressed a similar point of view: with the new situation of globalcompetition,China manufacturing enterprises can not stick in the low end of the valuechain links, we must find a appropriate way to enhance our own competitiveness toachieve the purpose of transition to higher value-added sectors in China’s nationalconditions. Specific measures on competitive strategy, however, does not propose specificways, but to propose an overall shift in the target of China’s manufacturing enterprises andlack measures for enhance competitive advantage. This research work is mainly from threeaspects: first, based on service-oriented manufacturing competitive advantage inmanufacturing enterprises,summarize the theoretical basis of the service-orientedmanufacturing,define the theory of the service system and its characteristics,sum up in thereview of the traditional theory of competitive strategy and put forward a competitiveadvantage to obtain sources.As to the second discusses formation mechanism aboutdifferential advantage of service-oriented manufacturing enterprises,we take advantage ofthe ring model to explain how to obtain advantage from the perspective of service-orientedmanufacturing enterprises output mechanism.Secondly,from a comparison of theservice-oriented manufacturing supply chain and traditional supply chain system weelaborate differential advantage of service-oriented manufacturing. Third, we elaborate the formation mechanism of low-cost advantage. We use the conflict model to explain the costpressures.Then,from two angles of the PSS and value chain,we explain howservice-oriented manufacturing mode to achieve low-cost advantage and propose concreteways to realize.Using a combination of theoretical analysis and analysis of case, through the study ofthe above three aspects,we research how to gain competitive advantage.It is meaningful tofind a solution and means for the service-oriented manufacturing enterprises which wanttransformation or being transforming,and it is helpful to provide some experience that isworth learning and methods.
