With the green low-carbon ideas to strengthen and enhance consumer servicerequirements, the traditional manufacturing industry needs to re-examine corporatesocial responsibility and the shift of manufacturing to service-oriented. Take fulladvantage of the theoretical literature on service-oriented manufacturing,manufacturing services and product service system of the sort, in the classic theory ofcompetitive advantage based on the analysis of the current social responsibilityperspective of competitive advantage, manufacturing competitive advantage dividedinto three types of cost advantage, differentiation advantage and green competitiveadvantage. From the composition analysis of service-oriented manufacturing,analyzes the main features of the service-oriented manufacturing, and scholars in thepast patterns of classification of products and services, the manufacturers servicemode is divided into two types of single product-oriented and product portfoliooriented. The theoretical basis of the conceptual model of service-orientedmanufacturing and value chain analysis from the three aspects of the integration ofresources, customer value and social responsibility, service-oriented manufacturingenterprise value creation and its source of competitive advantage.On the basis of above, the proposition of this study is put. Manufacturing enterpriseservice-oriented features and evolution of service-oriented Shangu Blower caseanalysis, and the proposition has been demonstrated, the results show that the smoothimplementation of manufacturing enterprises require a certain amount of knowledge,technology and capital base as support conditions, and there is a certain stagecharacteristics. In the service of the beginning of the transition to the professionaloperation and maintenance, updates and other single product service-based productportfolio oriented services are mostly implemented in the service transformation andachieved certain results; single product-oriented patterns and product mix orientedservice mode can enhance the cost advantage and differentiation advantage and green advantages, namely, manufacturing enterprises can be of service to improve theircompetitive advantage, but each generate competitive advantage ways and the effectis different, single-product-oriented service of competitive advantage is static,short-term competitive advantage, product portfolio service-oriented long-term.Finally, it points out the deficiency of this study and the need for further research.
