The research on team performance and the impact of staff’s cognition and the roleof the strategic on the corporate performance is a hot spot in the managementpsychology research. How to improve team performance has also become an urgentproblem. Although current academic research on team performance have manytheoretical results. But in recent research articles, there are less paper about introductionof cognition and the role of the strategic. This article focuses on Boswell (2006)proposed the concept-Staff strategic line of sight, to examine the impact of teamperformance, discussing the effect of line of sight-action and line of sight-object onteam performance separately, using multiple regression analysis to explore these threefactors’ relationship to explain team behavior and performance.We sort out strategic line of sight of employees, team performance theory andliteratures, comb and summarize up their concepts, measurement dimensions andmeasurement methods, to analysis the relationship between the variables, so as to buildthe model of strategic line of sight and team performance. And on the basis of theliterature review and research model, we establish the research hypothesis. Then,referring to the existing literature, we make up the questionnaire.. In the process ofcollecting research data required, mainly in the way of interviews, paper and network,we obtain215samples which contain a variety of team types. Then we used SPSS15.0for the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. Then we used factor analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis to test the hypotheses and draw conclusions.According to the analysis of the empirical results, the main conclusions are showedas follows: Line of Sight-Objective and Line of Sight-Action all have significantpositive impact on employees’ team performance. Line of Sight has significant impacton employees’ team performance; Line of Sight-Action plays an intermediary rolebetween Line of Sight-Objective and team performance.On the basis of the above conclusions, we give some suggestions as follows:(1) Improve team performance through LOS-O and LOS-A;(2) Take measures from the recruitment, training and motivation, not only to fulfillthe demands of the job, but also to make employee to understand the strategic objectivesand how to achieve the target, so to enhance team performance; (3) Take different measures to treat staff whose characteristics are different. At thesame time, advance warning.Finally we summarize up the lack of this research, forecast the future researchdirections. In this study, we introduce Strategic Line of Sight to research of teamperformance, explore the effectiveness of the strategic line of sight on the research levelof team. Through analyzing the relationship between LOS-O,LOS-A and the teamperformance, broaden scope of the study about the team performance influencingfactors, and provide theoretical support to enhance team performance managementstrategy, this study is a useful and positive exploration.
