Research On The Composite Indicator For The Integration Of Informatization And Industrialization

The development of China’s industrialization has made remarkable achievements, but overall is still in the middle stage. The Informatization of China is also growing fast with the global information revolution in recent20years. China is neither possible nor necessary to develop in the traditional model. China should grasp the historic opportunity that the information and communication technology rapid development brings and integrate Informatization and industrialization to accelerate the process of industrialization.China must push on the integration based on the current situation of industrialization where information technology and industrial technology are closely combined with significant Chinese characteristics. The integration of Informatization and industrialization is a strategic, comprehensive and systematic process of change involving the change of concept, the transformation of the mode and innovation of path. This work need a reasonable top-level design. We must change concept, clarify the development status, identify the scientific path and update the mode of integration constantly. Assessing the integration of Informatization and industrialization is of great significance. We can find the problems of the integration process of one region or one company without delay by constructing composite indicators. A composite indicator (CI) is a mathematical aggregation of a set of individual indicators that measure multi-dimensional concepts but usually have no common units of measurement.In order to construct a composite indicator of the integration of Informatization and industrialization, this thesis mainly contains the following two content:(1) Theoretical system of the integration measurementWe must have a clear understanding of the concept of integration of Informatization and industrialization first. The thesis sorts out the related concepts about Informatization and industrialization, explore the relationship between industrialization and Informatization, defines the integration of Informatization and industrialization, points out some entry points to propose a theoretical model of the composite indicator. The thesis makes reference to previous studies about Informatization measurement to find clues about measure theory, measure principle and choice of individual indicators.(2) Principles and methods of the composite indicatorIn view of the arbitrariness and subjectivity which the previous studies in the composite indicator reflected, firstly the thesis illustrates the principles of the composite indicator as a measure tool. Secondly, we design the steps of building a composite indicator and construct a composite indicator of the integration of Informatization and industrialization by the steps. BOD method is used in data processing which assignes weights dynamically. Last we measure the integration degree of the13cities of Jiangsu province by the composite indicator.
