Research Of Social Contradiction In Eco-City Construction

Thel8th National Congress of the CPC put the "Beautiful China" as a goal of future ecological civilization construction, which means more and more attention is put to the ecological environment construction. More and more cities begin to build the ecological city in order to develop the economy under environmental capacity. Although some experience of the construction of ecological city is achieved, there are still some social contradiction problems. For example, the contradiction between cadres and the masses in the battle of benefit and safety, the wealth contradiction between freedom and environmental protection, the conflicts between urban and rural areas caused by relocation of enterprises, the class contradiction between commercial residential building and security housing. The social contradiction problems among human beings are the major reason for the social risk. Marx says the contradiction between human beings and nature is a reflection of the contradiction among human beings. Eliminating the unfair among human beings is the premise of eliminating the unfair between human beings and nature.Based on the examples of Xiamen, Beijing, Chongqing and Guangzhou in building the ecological city, the above-mentioned contradictions are discussed. In order to solve the contradiction problems in the progress of the construction of ecological city, some countermeasures based on contradiction between humans and nature are put forward. First of all, masses should be put as the historical subject and democratic politics should be put into effect. As a result, the contradiction between cadres and the masses is solved. Moreover, public transit and concept of green travel should be established to ease up the wealth contradiction. Once more, balancing urban and rural development and practicing the integration of environmental legislation make great contribution to eliminating the conflicts between urban and rural areas. Finally, breaking the stratification caused by the housing policy system and practicing the mixed residential pattern, class contradiction can be relieved. The construction of ecological city is a complex system engineering which needs the help of the government. Both the macro level and the micro level should be considered carefully. Only in this way can we make a high level ecological city.
