The Research On The Evolutionary Of Global Innovationa Network Based On Patent Analysis

Science and technology trends towards globalization as the economic globalize. Enterprises are the mainstay of technological innovation, and patents are important carrier of enterprises’technology, which record the innovative technologies and enterprises’ technology innovation process. We can not only understand an enterprise s’technological development, but also learn the development of some field through patents. The information is very important for enterprises to participate in international competition in today’s highly competitive and innovative global environment.In this dissertation, we conclude the previous research on the global innovation networks, methods of patentmetries, application of social network analysis in patent measure and the research of global innovation networks, then the research ideas and features of this dissertation are advaned. We compare the methods of patent measurement, select the patent coupling method to study technical characteristics of a technical field and visualization the technical characteristics; study the cooperation of patentees in some field based on social network analysis. Then we select the field of flat panel display to analyse. First, we select the Derwent Innovation Index database as the data source, collecte the patents during the30years1982-2011, separate the patents to three stages, and select objects according to certain rules. Second draw the patentee coupling network to research characteristics in the field, analyse the patentee cooperation network to learn the evolutionary of innovation network and find the key enterprises.The results show that the companies in this field can be seperated into four groups and the patentees’ cooperation become more and more frequent, the strength of the relationship between the patentees become more and more close, the actors controlling the network gradually increasing. Samsung Group achieves technical level rising through integrating into the innovation network actively. Philips Group keeps the leading position in technology by taking various measures.
