Urbanization And Economic Growth In Gansu Province

In the process of economic development, the relationship betweenurbanization and economic growth is focused by national scholarsgenerally,which is also an important research. Many scholars have givethe conclusions about the relationship between them, but some ofconclusions are inconsistent. For such a province located in chinanorthwest, Gansu is very special, and any conclusion about therelationship between urbanization and economic growth is not reliable.Analysis in particular has very important significance for making goalsand strategy of development.This paper has five parts: the first part is introduction, whichincludes review of literature, method and purposes of the research. Thesecond part is the path how urbanization affects economic growth. Thethird one includes urbanization process and present situation of Gansuprovince. The forth one mainly contains empirical analysis of therelationship between urbanization and economic growth by setting up thecointegration model of panel data. The last one is about givingsuggestions, according to the results of factor analysis and panel datacointegration model.
