The Study Of The Level Of Urbanization And Influencing Factors In Gansu Province

Urbanization is the center of politics, economy, science, culture and education,is the engine of economic growth, is the process of industrial restructuring of humansociety, lifestyle changes and the social change, is the inevitable trend ofdevelopment of social history. Since the reform and opening up, along with thedevelopment of the social productive forces, scientific and technological progress,and regulation of industrial structure, China’s urbanization level has been greatlyimproved, and the urbanization rate reached double over the same period in theworld. However, compared with developed Countries, China’s urbanization rate isstill very low, and urbanization lags severely restricting the economic developmentand modernization, at the same time, in the progress of the economic developmentand modernization of Gansu Province, urbanization has become one of the strategicfocus.Gansu Province is in western China, and it plays an important role in thedevelopment of urbanization in our implementation of the "development of the westregions" policy and ushered in the great prospects. However, the development ofurbanization in Gansu Province remains at a relatively low level, and the gap isexpending with the national trend, which goes against development goals of GansuProvince. Thus, how to speed up the process of urbanization in Gansu Province andnarrow the gap is becoming the strategic focus of development in Gansu Province.Therefore, the study of urbanization in Gansu Province and its influencing factorshas important practical significance for the development of urbanization in GansuProvince.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part is an introduction; the secondpart describes the theoretical basis of urbanization, which provides a theoretical basisfor the content of this article; the third part is the status of the level of urbanization inGansu Province, in this section, firstly describes the development process ofurbanization in Gansu province, followed by a detailed analysis of the problems inthe development of urbanization in Gansu Province, finally predict the developmenttrend of urbanization in Gansu Province. The factors impacting the urbanization in Gansu Province were an alyzed in the fourth part. firstly expounded the main factorsaffecting urbanization and its mechanism of action, then, to establish a quantitativefactor analysis model, based on14cities in Gansu province (state) of panel data,then,we will have a comprehensive understanding of the qualitative and quantitativeof the factors influencing the development of urbanization in Gansu province. Thefifth part is Conclusions and recommendations of urbanization in Gansu Provincethrough the analysis of the factors impacting the level of urbanization in GansuProvince.
