As the construction industry in China is more and more open, enterprises desire to improve their international competitiveness more and more strongly. With the sustained and rapid development of the Chinese economy and the continuous increasing of the investment scale in the construction market, the market of the project management industry of construction projects is more and more broad. Since2003, national and local governments have published a series of policies and regulations which encouraged the project management industry of construction projects to develop, enterprises involved in this industry began to be present in large numbers.In order to promote scientific and reasonable operation in this industry, the government also publiched some binding regulations and articles,but so far the result is not ideal.At the moment, the project management industry of construction projects in Shandong Province is still at the primary stage of the development, and many good and evil enterprises all mix together.How to seize the market opportunity, effectively expand the business and evently stand out from the industry, have become a great challenge of the project management business of Y Group.Through properly using research methods such as Literature Research, Comparative Research, Survey Research, tools research such as PEST analysis,five forces model, value chain and SWOT analysis, related strategic theories such as enterprise strategy, strategy situation, three basic competitive strategies, core competitiveness, Blue Ocean Strategy and Co-operation Strategy, this article analyses the opportunities and threats that the project management business of Y Group facing in the current macro environment and industry environment, the advantages and disadvantages of as per the internal resources and capability.And through the effective analysis of the feasibility of three basic competitive strategies, this article eventually takes that differentiation as the best competitive strategy for the project management business of Y Group to develop.In order to promote the differentiation competitive strategy of the project management business of Y Group to carry out successfully,this article also come up with the related Practices measures and Safeguard measures. With the development of the project management industry of construction projects,the market competitions are amazing fierce. And the development of enterprises depend largely on the correct usage of strategic management.The research in this article is an application that strategy theories and methodes are combined in project management enterprises of construction projects,and wish to provide some references when those enterprises carry out strategic management.
