Lean manufacture is a modern production management after Ford mass production management. It is more and more accepted in worldwide recently. It can reduce cost, improve quality, improve flexibility by eliminate waste and non-value-added work. It helps company to improve their response for market.K company set up his branch in2008. It builds latch system for auto company. Using Lean method, we can improve the workshop room utility, reduce waste, improve productivity and efficiency.Based on Lean thinking, we find many challenge such as workshop layout isn’t suitable for material process, too much room are wasted, line balance are poor, etc. After re-layout the workshop according to Lean principle, we save36%compare with old layout. We use value stream concept to check the whole material flow. Using JIT to re-define the material storage and improve material flow process.Re-design the material shelf for workstation. Re-balance the production lines and implement one-piece flow. Implement KANBAN to change the material from push method to pull method. After KANBAN implement, inventory decrease70%and line shut down for material feeding almost decrease to zero. It proved that Lean is really help to reduce cost and improve management level.
