The Lean Layout Research Of Auto Part Plants

For occupying the auto part market, and keeping the stable volume of current customers, the foreign auto part companies started to extend their business to reach the sustained growth. But in the extending process because of the lack of lean production methodology, these companies only copied the past operation modes which made the same or similar problems and issues happened again and again.in the actual operation process most of waste happened every day, the cost and profit was influenced until lost the customers. How to avoid these issues such as high WIP, low production efficiency, low logistic efficiency and etc. and try to eliminate non valve added activities.This thesis will combine the current actual layout issues of TEN and some improvement of different TEN plants to analysis what is lean layout, what’s the benefit and how to do it. To set up a lean plant layout process including Confirm the plant location; Overall plant layout design; Internal layout design; Layout implementation. This thesis could make the reader to know why lean layout is so important and how to design a plant lean layout so that to eliminate most of waste.
