Since2009, benefited from the steady development policy of Chinese macro-economy, China vehicle sales has replaced the status of the United States by increasing rapidly and became the largest market of producing and cars sales in the world. Furthermore, the more and more Chinese civilians focus on getting a sedan with the increasing of their living standard. Affected by the global financial crisis and slow domestic economic growth, the total of sales and output of the vehicles are likely accelerated but it also shows the scale of the crisis. It also signals an enormous backlog demand. More badly, the three major metropolises in China now have car registration restrictions after Guangzhou began to govern the issuance of car license plates for new cars in July2012, to improve the living environment and ease the city’s heavy traffic jams. And other cities may follow in the future. Vehicle sales increase, but dealers-still see profits drop. Only30percent of those dealers said that they were confident of reaching their sales targets for2012. The area dealers of auto sales and service, especially those largest-size groups, have to adjust their development strategies in order to face more new challenges.This paper expounds firstly the basic contents of the theory of the development strategy and some analysis methods and tools may be used. Then, it Summarizes and concludes the history, status and development trends of domestic and foreign automobile sales&service industries, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of business operation modes. After analyzing the internal&external environments and the traditional modes of enterprise management, it also explores the characteristics and shortcomings of the company. Meanwhile, aiming at the problems and challenges, it studies the business strategy of the company facing the new situation, and puts forward some suggestions and adjustment measures on the development strategy of the company.This paper also brings up some advice and suggestions on how to adjust the development strategy to implement the sustainable development of the corporation, and how to improve the corporation’s core competence and survival ability. In a word, I hope these opinions and views maybe provide a certain reference value for improving the management levels&business operation abilities of the state-owned chain enterprises and those automotive sales&service groups.
