With the fast development of global economy, commodity circulation becomes more and more frequent. In order to effectively reduce transport cost, increase transport efficiency, containerized transport of cargo, which brought the birth of containers, has become a trend of development. Railway transport, with its huge-capacity, weather-proof, eco-friendly characteristics, and its advantage of low cost over middle and long distance transport, has an indispensible place in inland container transport.Over recent years, with passenger lines putting into operation in large scale, the capacity of existing lines has been greatly expanded and railway container transport volume has been increasing year by year. As hub terminal of railway container transport, in order to adapt to the fast increase of container transport volume, satisfy the collection, dispatching, and transport need within its radiation range, and realize effective connection of rail container transportation with water transport and road transport methods, its transport organization as container hub terminal is under new challenge. This paper, taking Zhengzhou Railway Container Terminal as its target of analyzing, studied the operation mode, business procedure, marketing mode of Zhengzhou Terminal. Combining the function, characteristics and development trend of domestic and international container terminals, an optimization method for the terminal business procedure, establishment of marketing system and development of container block train was provided for Zhengzhou Terminal. This paper utilizes theories of marketing, corporate management, transport management etc., analyzes the current status of Zhengzhou terminal as hub container logistic center, and puts forward the specific measures facilitating the requirement of adaption of capacity increase of track lines and an optimization modal on adapting the requirement of cargo collection, dispatching and transport for Zhengzhou Terminal.
