Explore The New Type Of Rural Old-aged Security Model

Since the founding of our country in1949and especially the reform and opening-up in1978, China has developed rapidly. Mainly due to the increasing development of medical treatment and public health and the strict implementation of family planning, it takes China only18years to transform into a society of population aging while it takes the developed countries several decades or even hundreds of years. The long-standing urban-rural dual structure has brought the unfair distribution of income, which, in turn, has led to the dualization of our social security. Although the urban old-age security of our country is becoming more sophisticated, there are more problems with the old-age security. Therefore, it is urgent to explore a new model of rural old-age security which is in line with the current condition of our country.The article is based on the rural old-age securities of three periods:the rural old-age security before and after the reform and opening-up, and the current rural old-age security. The analyses were made among them, just to find out that there are serious problems with the current rural old-age security and it is necessary to set up a new mode of rural old-age security. Then a questionnaire was made according to the reality of Laian county and three rural places of it were randomly chosen to be surveyed. The statistics of the survey shows that there are serious problems with the current rural old-age security and to explore a new mode of rural old-age security is in extremely urgent. The main problems are as follows:firstly, there are lack of investment; secondly, the families can’t afford to support the old-aged; thirdly, the government lacks the sense of responsibility; fourthly, the traditional value that endowment relay on land is still in popular; sixthly, there are some problems with the current medical treatment and public health. Some effective suggestions were made from the two aspects of principle and path of the new mode. The thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter contains introduction, the reason for and the meaning of the choice of the topic, overseas and domestics research status, the ideas and the method of the research and related theoretical basis concerning sociology. The second chapter is introduce the rural pension mode of the traditional society,mainly include the characteristics of traditional rural society and the rural old-age security model of traditional society.Both of the two parts are divided in two period:one is the period before1949,the other is between1949and1978.The third chapter is about the rural social endowment system in transformation period.The fourth charper is introduce the existing old-age security model has six problems.The fifth charper is introduce how to build a new rural social old-age security model.Finally, I summarize the thesis.
