Venture capital is a kind of high investment, high risk, and high returninvestment. it plays a significant role in promoting the research of engineering andcommercialization, in promoting the development of high-tech industries, and inpromoting the economic development. Venture capital project evaluation is veryimportant for a venture company in the choice of investment projects, and projectevaluation largely determines the success or failure of the venture capital.This paper studies the project risk assessment of the M Venture Company, andthe text of study can be divided into four parts. The first part is theoretical research. Inthis part, theory of venture capital, venture capital project evaluation and riskmanagement theory are fully summarized, and this makes a good theoreticalpreparation for the below venture investment project evaluation studies. The secondpart is mainly about summarizing the M Venture Company and its existing venturecapital project evaluation index system through interviews and survey, and pointingout its shortcomings. The third part is about the construction of project risk evaluationindex system for the M Venture Company. The project risk evaluation index system isbuilt from a risk management perspective. And it is built on the basis of theoreticalresearch and the investment project status of M Venture Company. And the indexscoring criteria is given in this part. The fourth part is about evaluating thepharmaceutical industry investment project of the M Venture Company through theentropy weight method. In this part, the information of the M Companypharmaceutical industry investment projects is collected through the interviews andresearch method. And Experts score the risk of the pharmaceutical industryinvestment projects according to the project. Then use the entropy weight method toevaluate the investment projects of the pharmaceutical industry. Finally, Compare andanalyze the results of the evaluation with the reality. This part aims to verify thefeasibility of the new evaluation index system by evaluating the investment projects inthe pharmaceutical industry of M Venture Company.Hope this paper can provide some reference and help for the M VentureCompany and other similar venture companies in project evaluation and investmentdecision.
