Analysis Of The Operation Of The New Rural Cooperative Medical System In Jincheng

The new rural cooperative medical system that concerns a problem for nationaleconomy and livelihood of the people is one of the most important social securitysystems, and the vital interest of the great masses and the stability of the society arerelated to its establishment and improvement directly. Owing to the imperfection ofthe new rural cooperative medical system at the beginning of its foundation, theremust be some problems in the process of implementation. With different situations ineach country, China’s new rural cooperative medical system has its own uniquefeatures and problems. Therefore, through our own characteristic, we should activelyexplore the new model of health care system which is suitable for our situation on thebasis of the successful experience of the foreign countries.Since the reform of health care system in Jincheng started formally from2003, thenew rural cooperative medical system is tending toward perfection by the past years’practice. Due to the great progress made in all aspects of the work, the basic demandof rural residents in medical insurance has been satisfied. At the same time, there arealso some problems of health care system in Jincheng.This paper researches in thesituation of the medical insurance for rural residents in Jincheng, which is built on therelated theory about medical insurance and the implementation data in Jincheng. Inaddition, by comparing the past few years’date, we sum up the achievements anddeficiency of medical insurance for urban residents in Lanzhou since2003, and suggestions are put forward to improve it.
