"Lean manufacturing" stands for Toyota Production System, it aims to eliminate each none add value activity through people involvement&continuous improvement spirit to maximize the profit inside a company. This methodology contain stock control, JIT production system, TQM system which covering all aspects in the operation scope. A big number of companies who implemented lean manufacturing had shown an enormous improvement on the company’s financial result. Nowadays, the lean manufacturing is recognized as standard production system of the21st century.Start from1990’s, many Chinese companies started to implement the lean manufacturing system. The most frequent approach is to have a consultant to introduce the method, focus on the method application&performance improvement. Due the lack of attention on people training and development, it used to have a big improvement at start of lean implementation but the continuous improvement could not been facilitated in long term, therefore bring the real cost improvement of the company.Company S--a full subsidiary of "Saint-Gobain Group" located in Shanghai specialized for automotive safety glass (laminated windshield and tempered backlight/sidelight/sunroof) production and sales for Chinese domestic OEM market. This paper will introduce the experience from company S during his practice of Lean Manufacturing from2008. Conclude a possible lean manufacturing approach for any of the manufacturing company through people training&development, set up "Kaizen" standard&method.
