Consequentlyhow to evaluate and promote the community participation and its validity have become theurgent needs to solve.Generally speaking, this paper reviews related studying achievement about historicvillages and community participation in the process of its development. And then referringto the definition of validity, community, ancient-village tourism and the theories ofcommunity participation, the writer analyses the current development of ancient-villagetourism in terms of the necessity of community participation in tourism development, thecurrent situation of community participation and the problems existing in the communityparticipation.
