Study On Agricultural Economic And Trade Cooperation Between China And Uzbekistan

The expansion of agriculture’s external cooperation is the priority of China’s12th Five-Year plan.Geographically, China and Uzbekistan are not contiguous, but both are agricultural countries, and havesimilarities and complementarities in many ways. The article works on the agricultural cooperation betweenChina and Uzbekistan, which will strengthen the bilateral economic and trade relations,have a greatpractical significance on promoting agricultural development in China.Since the establishment of tiesbetween them, there are a lot of achievements on agricultural trade, agricultural investment, agriculturallabor and cooperation cooperation in agricultural science and technology.However, the raw agriculturalproducts taking the priority, low level of foreign capital utilization, irregular labor service cooperation andlow technological content of agricultural cooperation, all restrict the further development of agriculturaleconomic and trade cooperation between the two countries.After the financial crisis, the strategic partnership relations between China and Uzbekistan entered anew period. With sustainable and healthy development of the domestic economy, increasingly strongdemand in the market of agricultural products, Uzbekistan’s government pays more attention to agriculturedevelopment, and invests more in the agricultural field. Meanwhile, Uzbekistan makes foreign laborentering system more rigorous, calls for further improvement in the quality of import agricultural products,which makes the agricultural economic and trade cooperation face more challenges.The article analys the status of Uzbekistan’s agricultural development, agricultural producttrade,agricultural economic between China and Uzbekistan, particularly the detailed analysis of bilateralagricultural trade in the view of trade scale, trade structure,problems in the process of trade, and tradecomplementarity and competitiveness. Cooperation field, problems in the process and factors affecting thecooperation are presented in the agricultural economic cooperation. The study also summarizes the currentpatterns of agricultural economic and trade cooperation, mainly including product platform, display model,communication of scientific and technological workers. After the analysis of positive factors,the articleexplores the future modes of cooperation, such as free trade area, agricultural industry pairing mode, greenchannel of agricultural products logistics mode and so on. Finally the study proposed a number of measuresto promote further development of the agricultural economic and trade cooperation between the twocountries.
