With the development of laser processing technology, the high-power CO2laser which isadvanced, fast and flexible, applying to traditional industries’ upgrading and reconstruction,improve the quality of products and production efficiency more popularly. Because of the lowlevel of localized high-power CO2laser, we must learn and research the foreign advanced laserprocessing technology, strengthen independent research and innovation, and make the laser withcore competitiveness and proprietary intellectual property rights.Through the analysis of working principle, the research of system’s shortage, structuralfeatures and operational requirement, the subject put forward a scheme that it used theembedded laser control system based on the ARM processor to replace the control system basedon PLC. According to the assume of the goal, the article adopted the main control chipAT91SAM9G45based on the inner core ARM9and Windows CE embedded operating systemas the development platform to design the high-power CO2laser control system with controldemands.The main content of the design had two aspects: On the one hand, the hardware circuitswhich contained the main board circuit of memory circuit, I/O extended and driving circuit,A/D transduction circuit, power circuit, reset circuit, and interface circuit of LCD, USB,Ethernet, DBGU, RS485, and came up with relevant anti-interference measures. On the otherhand, the software, which contained control programs of EBI, RS485, SPI based on WindowsCE embedded system and abundant and friendly human machine interfaces.It summarized research contents and looked forward to the future at last, and also isbeneficial to the further research and subsequent development of the high-power CO2lasercontrol system.
