Nihewan Nature Reserve is located in the east of Nihewan Basin, as Nihewan layerrecorded geological heritage of that Late Cenozoic evolution of the earth in northern China,biological and of human evolutionary history has attracted worldwide attention.In the NatureReserve and the circumjacent area, water environment protection is in addition to geologicalheritage resources need to focus on protection of one of the objects.For the protection of its special significance, the paper characteristics of the study areathe water environment, analyzes the status of water environment and evolution factors.Meteorological factors, topographic features, ground vegetation, soil and vadose zonecharacteristics, hydraulic characteristics, groundwater aquifer medium and human activity andother factors control the evolution of the water environment. Various factors on therelationship between the factors and water environment were analyzed separately mainly drawthe following conclusions:Weather conditions is the main factors of surface water changes with the seasons,Geographical distribution of annual runoff and annual precipitation is consistent basically. Inthe study area, the spatial distribution of precipitation and groundwater aquifer water-richrock group is not directly related partition; Ground slope and ground vegetation as factorslikely to form surface runoff; through the analysis of soluble salt can be drawn during thedeposition salinity in top deposition higher than during the deposition of the lower. In theresearch area precipitation as the main recharge source of groundwater,this high salt contentof the vadose zone more easily increased salinity of groundwater; Groundwater resourceswithin the study area are unevenly distributed, it’s concentrated in the valley, and other arearelatively poor, Based on the difference of material composition and origin of porous media,porous media rock group can be divided into2categories as loose rock pore water class androck fissure water class; Human factors are mainly fertilizer of farming with the process ofinfiltration to influence groundwater. Water quality evaluation results show that surface waterquality study area for5classes or over five types of water in research area,Groundwaterquality is generally poor,and concentration distribution in the Haojiatai reserve western andsouthern; Through indoor soil column leaching experiment,it’s can be explained that,Inparticular test time,Soil to0.4mmol/L of nitrate and potassium ion solution have purification capacity.
