The magnetic abrasive finishing is a new process to improve the surface quality of the workpiece surface. Through the abrasive particles produce pressure for workpiece surface in the magnetic force and relative movement with the workpiece to form the technology of magnetic abrasive finishing. This technology has good flexibility, self-sharpening, adaptability is sensitive and machined surface quality advantages, it has broad application prospects in the pharmaceutical industry, the aerospace industry, precision instruments and precision measuring tools industry.Magnetic field forming member is a core member of the magnetic abrasive finishing equipment, for generated the magnetic induction of a particular size in the machining area, and formed the force by the magnetization of the magnetic abrasive grains. The processing results and the processing efficiency of the workpiece is directly affected by the size of magnetic induction intensity of the machining area, while the size of the magnetic induction intensity depends on the magnetic source and the magnetic circuit design of the magnetic field forming member. The electronically controlled permanent magnetic field forming part is designed based on the analysis of electromagnetic source and permanent source, and the principle of electronically controlled permanent cranes and the electronically controlled permanent fixture. Magnetic circuit design is more mature in the industry of the electronic sound, the magnetic circuit of electronically controlled permanent magnetic field form parts is designed draw on this knowledge, and theoretical analysis and calculate the magnetic induction of the air gap, and the results were validated by ANSYS simulation analysis. The completion of the main tasks including:1. The theoretical design of the magnetic circuit. There are equivalent circuit method, permeability method, finite element method about the calculation methods of magnetic circuit, there are permeability method, computer software (such as FINEMOTOR FEMM, OPERA, SPEAD, VSTX) design method about the design methods of the magnetic circuit. However, the theoretical of the design are inseparable from the basic theory of electromagnetism, Maxwell equations and first and second law of magnetic circuit. Through theoretical calculation electric control permanent magnetic field forming member is designed for small shaft parts, the diameter of processing axis range is20to100mm.2. The comparison of existing magnetic field forming equipment of the experimental. There are electromagnetic source and the permanent source of magnetic field forming member, the electromagnetic source can produce a larger magnetic flux density, and the size of the magnetic induction intensity can be controlled by the current size, but it requires the winding coils, and long machining will produce eddy current heating, this can make temperature of the forming member and workpiece increases, not only is not suitable for processing for a long time, will also affect the processing results, so its difficult in the production of high-volume applications. The device of permanent source is light and its structure is simple, and more energy-efficient than electromagnetic sources, but its demagnetization and adjustment is not easy.3. The design of electric control permanent magnetic field formed member. Reference to the idea of the permanent magnet electric control, permanent magnet electric control magnetic field forming member is designed by combine the electromagnetic source and the permanent source, power is lost during the processing, it can save energy by the use of permanent magnet source; energization when the machining end (energization time is short) to facilitate demagnetization; power can outage after demagnetization. This device meets the requirements of processing magnetic induction, it will solve the difficult problem of wasting energy of the electromagnetic source, and demagnetization of permanent source.4. ANSYS simulation. Use finite element to verify the reliability of the design of magnetic circuit. The method of finite element comply with the laws of physics, and the method is correct, degree of accuracy is high, it’s a software that often used by contemporary designers.5. Test of program comparison. Several other magnetic circuit of electric control permanent magnetic field formed member is designed to comparison with the original program structure, and analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the various programs and the occasions of appropriate processing.The electric control permanent magnetic field formation components can be used for the study of the processing mechanism, mature design can build block for the building of magnetic abrasive finishing processing, to bring great economic benefits for the community. There are insufficient about the design theory of magnetic circuit and need to be further research.
