Along with the mature application of the wireless communication technology, deal withthe state safe requirement and information requirement of the coal industry, wireless commu-nication technology began to be applied in the limited space of the mine. With the rapid de-velopment of China’s economy, the demand to the coal of all walks of life will increase dayby day, but the situation of the mine’s production safety is still serious and facing greaterpressure. The production safety of mine enterprises pays close attention to the life safety of allkinds of operation workers in the underground tunnel, therefore, how to know the distributionof all kinds of operation workers in the roadway and the work security status in site have be-come the hot issue of the production safety of the coal industry. In recent years, large and me-dium-sized state-owned coal enterprises have completed the capital construction of under-ground personnel communication system, but the existing communication and managementsystem is not perfect. In this situation, how to increase the positioning accuracy with a newtechnology and improve the worker’s command and management on ground, will has im-portant significance for the production safety of the coal enterprise.This paper put forward a complete set of concept of digital miner individual system.Digital miner system is a wireless communication system specially applied in positioning,communication and all kinds of real-time data transmission on site of the miner in under-ground tunnel, combined with the Wi-Fi wireless location technology and video and audiostreaming media technology.This paper first expounds the total concept of the digital miner system and explainsdetailedly the location algorithm of the system and the pivotal technologies used in videocommunication, after that, introduces the several more important parts of this system on thewhole. The issue’s main work is to use C#language to achieve the design and development ofthe complete set of upper computer’s management software in the development environmentof VS2010. The management monitoring software can connect timely and locate accurately the base stations and miners on the line and bring them out on the tunnel diagram. With theintegrated video player of the management software and the wired and wireless network un-derground, the upper computer’s management software can real time communicate video andaudio with the worker in the tunnel. With the SQLServer2008database in the background, thesystem designs the various forms for data storage. On this basis, the management softwarealso can taxonomically input, read and save all kinds of important information of the wholesystem and analysis and save taxonomically the data transmitted by the intelligent terminal inthe underground tunnel, Consequently, the staff of the upper computer can accurately forecastthe condition of the production safety, and comprehensively manage the distribution conditionof the miners in the underground tunnel.This manage software’s application, not only can satisfy the daily production manage-ment, improve productivity, reduce production cost of the coal enterprise, but also canachieve wireless location and video surveillance of the miner underground, so that is helpfulfor coal enterprises’ safe production management.
