With the rapid development of the society, inkjet printer products are gradually applied tothe packaging industry, it can be used to improve the quality of the product and the enterpriseimage. Also with the improvement of printing requirements, it puts forward higher requirementfor inkjet printing technology. This paper studies and designs a high-resolution inkjet printerbased on ARM9controller, and it highlights the characteristics of low cost, high stability,universality.Firstly, the paper introduces the topic’s research background, current condition of inkjetprinter both at home and abroad and development trend, relative technology of inkjet printer isintroduced briefly, puts an emphasis on continual inkjet printer and dropping on demand inkjetprinter, and compared their performance. Secondly, the paper introduces the XJ128printheadand XJ64printhead of the XAAR Company, and XJ128printhead is selected as the research andcontrol object. The hardware circuit is designed by using the S3C2440A microprocessor chipthrough the SPI communication mode. The design of the hardware circuit includes verificationthe design proposal, components selection, drawing schematic diagrams and PCB. In the designprocess of the hardware circuit, the paper gives the detailed analysis and design of variousmodules for control printhead, completes drawing the corresponding schematics and PCB. Andthe matters needing attention in the schematic and PCB design process are introduced briefly.Then it introduces the related concepts of bootloader and the bootloader transplantation. Itstudies the main factors that influences the printing speed, puts forward algorithm to control theprinting speed of high-resolution inkjet printer. At the same time, introduces the implementmethods of SPI communication and photoelectric encoder. The printing errors of inkjet printerare analyzed. The paper puts forward the corresponding improvement measures, also putsforward some technological transformation methods of the high-resolution inkjet printer. Finally, this paper completes the work of PCB welding and debugging, mainly introducesthe debugging problems and the solutions, and gives some codes of the test program. Theexperiment shows that the design of hardware control system of high-resolution inkjet printer isfeasible, and can meet the printing requirement in the practical application. And summarizes theresearch and design work of this paper, and the achievements, and puts forward the improvementmeasures of the hardware system.
