With the increasing market demands for knitted products which can make peoplecomfortable to wear, convenient to the movement and healthy, cleancool fiber withgood moisture pick-up and fast drying property and antibacterial property came outand had more and more attention. This subject is to apply the cleancool fiber to theresearch and development of knitting product, improve its added value, and meet thedemands of people.This subject chooses29.4tex cleancool fiber blended yarn (blend with65%cleancool fiber and35%cotton fiber) as the research object, which is developed byXingnuo Cleancool Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. in Shanghai. Beginning with the basicperformance of cleancool fiber and its blended yarn, it includes morphology,composition, mechanical properties of cleancool fiber, mechanical properties, yarnevenness, twist, moisture content, acid resistance, alkali resistance, and heat resistanceof cleancool fiber blended yarn.Based on the understanding of the basic performance of cleancool fiber and itsblended yarn, stitch and knitting process of cleancool blended knitted fabric weredesigned. Four kinds of underclothes knitting products were developed and knitted onSTOLL CMS530HP computer fully automatic flat knitting machine. Then cleancoolyarn and cotton yarn were respectively knitted two kinds of stitch, which were tomake compare with cleancool blended knitted fabric on wearability.In order to make dyeing process go smoothly, cleancool blended knitted fabricwere scoured. Utilizing the single factor analytic method to analyze the quantity ofsodium hydroxide determined the process: Sodium hydroxide2g/L, penetrating agent3g/L, Sodium silicate2g/L, temperature100℃, time30min, liquor ratio1:25. Afterscouring, the whiteness of the knitted fabric is increased, while the strength is downslightly.The bleaching process of cleancool blended knitted fabric was researched andanalyzed. First use hydrogen peroxide as the bleaching agent, then utilize the singlefactor analytic method to analyze the quantity of hydrogen peroxide, temperature, time and pH value, finally optimize the bleaching process with orthogonal analyticmethod, and regard whiteness and bursting strength as evaluation index. The optimalbleaching process is: the quantity of hydrogen peroxide6g/L, sodium silicate3g/L,scouring agent2g/L, temperature95℃, pH value11, time60min, liquor ratio1:25. The whiteness of the bleached cleancool blended knitted fabric is higher, andfabric damage is smaller, a satisfactory bleaching effect was achieved.The disperse dyes and the reactive dyes were chosen to dye respectivelycleancool fiber and cotton fiber in cleancool blended knitted fabric. Cleancool fiberwas dyed by the method of high-temperature and high-pressure. Dye-uptake and K/Svalue were regarded as evaluation index. Utilizing the method of the single factoranalytic analyzed fixing temperature, pH value and fixing time. The optimal processfor dyeing cleancool fiber was determined with orthogonal analytic method, which isdisperse blue2BLN dyes0.7%(o.w.f.), fixing temperature135℃, diffusing agentNNO1g/L, penetrating agent2g/L, fixing time45min, pH value5.5and liquor ratio1:50. And then cotton fibers were dyed by one bath two-stage process. Throughseveral experiments, we achieves that when the quantity of reactive turquoise bluedyes is7%(o.w.f.), the color deviation between the cleancool fiber and cotton fiber issmall and the color has a good homochromy. Color fastness testing results suggestthat the fastness to washing, fastness to perspiration and fastness to crocking are allgood and meet the quality requirement of knitted fabric dyeing.The durability, heat-moisture comfort, rigidity-flexibility and dimensionalstability of cleancool blended, cleancool and cotton knitted fabrics were tested,compared and analysed. It achieves that bursting strength, air permeability, moisturepermeability, heat retention, absorbency, rigidity-flexibility, anti-pilling tendency,steam shrinkage and water shrinkage of cleancool blended knitted fabric meet thewearability requirement of knitted fabric.According to the use of cleancool blended knitted fabric, wearability was tookthe comprehensive evaluation by fuzzy-integrative evaluation method, and it achievesthe merits of their wearability.
