Wintersun fiber is a multi-functional nano-fiber, which is adding nanometer metalantibacterial particles, super-absorbent polymer, and special heating material to thepolymer polyester, nylon or viscose fiber. The purpose of this research is widelyapplying wintersun fibers to research and development of the knitted products, usingthe good thermal storage temperature, antibacterial, and other characteristics ofwintersun thermal fibers developed a series of knitted products with special healthcare functions. And then further study the performance of wintersun fibers, as well asdyeing, finishing processes, the physical properties and wearability of a series ofknitted products produced by wintersun fibers.The wintersun fiber yarn was produced by Shanghai NAN DE Textile Science andTechnology Co., the fineness of the yarn is18.34tex (polyester-based wintersun fiberand combed cotton blend of60/40blended). This paper studied a series of propertiesof wintersun fibers, first of all, we studied the properties of wintersun fiber and yarn,fiber performance testing included: fiber morphology, infrared spectroscopy, andsingle-fiber strength and fineness. Performance testing of yarns: yarn strength andevenness evenness, twist, hairiness, moisture content, acid and alkali resistance andheat resistance and other tests. And then knitted the wintersun yarns in STOLLCMS530HP automatic computer knitting machine, six stitches in all, and the fabrichas a series of performance tests.The knitted fabric was pre-treated, so that the following process can be carried outsmoothly, the pre-treatment contains: bleaching and scouring. After the test, thescouring process is: NaOH2.5g/L, JFC2g/L, sodium silicate2g/L, and bath ratio of1:30, the time is2h, temperature100℃, after scouring,1g/L acetic acid neutralizingthe fabric at80℃and10min, washed and then dried. After scouring, test thewhiteness and bursting strength of the fabric, and the whiteness increased16.8percent,the bursting strength decreased by1.3%, fabric impurities significantly reduced, waterabsorption increased, which is benefit to the following process, and achieves thedesired purpose.After scouring, bleach the knitted fabric, and analyze using orthogonal experiment,of which four factors include: the amount of hydrogen peroxide, temperature, time,pH value, test indicators for whiteness and bursting strength. Eventually come to thebest bleaching process as follows: hydrogen peroxide5g/L, sodium silicate2.0g/L, refining agent1.5g/L, temperature90℃, pH value, time70min, liquor ratio1:30. Thebleaching effect of the optimal process is good, after test, the whiteness increased11.7%, bursting strength decreased by1.7%, the decline is not obvious, which canmeet the needs of fabric. Feel better, impurity decreased obviously, better whitenessstability, which achieve satisfactory results.Wintersun fiber fabric is a polyester-cotton blend, so taking two-bath methodwhen dyeing, we use disperse dyes and reactive dyes for dyeing. First, with scatteredthe Blue2BLN dyed fabric polyester part, the apparatus is XH-KG66hightemperature and high pressure dyeing machine. After dyeing, boil the fabric with soap,and then with activity Turquoise Blue KN-G dye fabric cotton part. The evaluationindexes are dyeing rate and K/S value. Using single-factor analysis, the four factorsinclude: temperature, time, pH value. Eventually come to the best dyeing process asfollows: Disperse Blue2BLN1%(owf), temperature130℃, time50min, the pH valueof5, liquor ratio1:20, leveling agent0.5g/L, dispersant0.5%(owf). When thepolyester dyeing is finished, remove the fabric, put the fabric into the dye bath, whichthe temperature is60℃, activity Turquoise Blue KN-G6%(owf), salt15g/L, the dip40min, then add trisodium phosphate8g/L, solid color30℃. After the final dyeingmatching, we obtained the fabric with good dyeing effect.After dyeing, we tested the wearability of the fabric, including: fabric fastness,hard and soft drape, steaming shrinkage, air permeability, moisture permeability,water absorption, crease flexibility and pilling resistance. In addition, we tested thefunctionality of the wintersun fiber knitted fabric:Thermal storage and antibacterialproperties, including: Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans.In the last part of the paper, comprehensively evaluated the wearability of theknitted fabrics by fuzzy mathematical methods, and obtained the significance of thecomprehensive evaluation of the wearability. The evaluation results: the wearability ofhalf cardigan stitch is best.
