With the development of modern industry, the application of diamond abrasive iswider and wider, quality requirements are also more and more exacting. Thedistribution of diamond particles in most traditional diamond grinding tool is random,which lead to a low use ratio of diamond, lower precision of the abrasive and shorterservice life than those with ordered arrangement. Methods utilized in the fabrication ofdiamond abrasive with an ordered arrangement now include: template method, pointglue method, and method by using static configuration. However, these methods are allwith complex processing and low production efficiency.This paper developed a new type of adhesive, the adhesive and brazen alloymixture into brazing paste. This kind of brazing paste has the properties of viscosityand ductility. Diamond grains can be fixed in the brazing paste. In the process ofbrazing, adhesive was heated and volatilized. So the objective of the diamond particlesorderly arrangement in the diamond tool can be reached with small effect on thewelding quality.Results in experiments show the fact that phenolic resin did not fit the positionof being adhesive of diamonds braze welding, however, ABS glue did fit. An idealresult would be attained when the ratio of ABS glue and BNi2is1:5. At this time,results when diamonds are put on the surface of brazing filler metal and soldering fluxQJ102are not added would be good.Flux has a large influence on diamond and cemented carbide brazing, researchesshow that when the content ofNa2B4O7is25wt.%,KBF4is9wt.%,Cocl2is5wt.%, NaF is5wt.%andH3BO3is54wt.%in the flux, the flux has good brazingprocess performance. When the brazing temperature is1030℃, holding time is30minutes the spreading ratio and spreading area of the BNi2braze alloys are maximumand the largest spreading area was287.63mm2. The spreading area of BNi2brazing filler metal utilized the special flux increased by10.4%、12.7%、7.7%、6.5%compared with QJ102、FB101、FB102、FB104.
