At the beginning of2013, the haze weather continuously come to Beijing City, airpollution seriously, high carbon emissions has become the most urgent problems in Beijing. With the rapid development of economy, energy and environment problem in Beijingbecomes more prominent, reduction of low carbon development has become a new problemin global economic trends. Research on the factors that affect the carbon emissions of Beijingpassenger transport industry, low carbon traffic development, has great significance in theconstruction of low carbon city. This paper introduce the traffic status of car ownership and a total of eight variables, theestablishment of Beijing total carbon emissions STIRPAT model, model demonstrates theeffect of traffic industry development on carbon emissions in the positive direction, control ofpassenger transportation emissions of Beijing low carbon emission reduction has importantpractical significance. And then investigate the transportation factors of carbon emissions, difference analysis of different transport modes of carbon emissions, measuring differentpassenger traffic on the contribution rate of carbon emissions, draw the following conclusions:1, the private car contribution to city traffic carbon emissions was the biggest, the private carcarbon emissions growth change becomes the main factor effects of carbon emissions, the citytraffic taxi next.2, the bus after the preferential policies, the public electric vehicle emissionsadvantages of high efficiency is not fully play.3, rail transit network scale in the suppressionof traffic emissions, adjusting the residents travel structure more successfully, the subway stillcan not become the main way of resident trip. Increased4, the total mileage of roads and noinhibition unit road area of increased carbon emissions, but increase the proportion of privatecars, bicycles falling share problem can’t be ignored test.5, the city spatial structure affectsthe city traffic demand distribution and the choice of mode of transportation, thereby affectingpassenger transport carbon emissions. Finally, combined with the impact of developmentpolicies of Beijing road construction, city space structure on carbon transport volume, the results of this study strategy and countermeasure suggestions for the development oflowcarbon transportation.
