Hydrazone is a class of Schiff base which is obtained by aldehyde or ketone reactwith hydrzide. Hydrazone compounds are not only adopted the good biologicalactivity of hydrazide, but also has a certain degree of fluorescence. Its fluorescenceintensity is further enhanced after being coordinated with transition metal becausethere are multi-gear bidentated points, which provides a guideline for the synthesis ofthe novel fluorescence-based materials. We aim at studying on the impaction ofhydrazone structure on its coordination ability that is a key to synthesizefluorescence-based materials.Four kinds of different structural hydrazone ligands and their hydrazonetransition metal complexes through hydrothermal method are designed andsynthesized, and then the effect of substituent, conjugated and steric on thecoordination capability are explored by us.Designed and synthesized four hydrazone complexes are benzophenone4-chlorbenzoxy acetyl hydrazone (H2L1), Diphenyl ethylene ketone4-chlorbenzoxyacetyl hydrazone (H2L2), p-methoxyacetophenone4-chlorbenzoxy acetyl hydrazone(H2L3), o-phenol ethyl ketone4-chlorbenzoxy acetyl hydrazone (H2L4). Infraredanalysis, thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis are used to characterize thefour compounds. The four kinds of hydrazone metal complexes are synthesized byhydrothermal method, and two kinds of metal complexes are successfully prepared,respectively is acetone4-chlorbenzoxy acetyl hydrazone copper complex,2’-Hydroxyacetophenone4-chlorbenzoxy acetyl hydrazone nickel complex. The structures are determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction which shows that acetoneketal4-chlorbenzoxy acetyl hydrazone copper complex belongs to monoclinic,space group C2/c, four pyramid configuration, CCDC:859153;2’-Hydroxyacetophenone4-chlorbenzoxy acetyl hydrazone nickel complex belongs totriclinic, space group P1, planar square structure, CCDC:903650.
