With the rapid development of China’s urban construction, the sharp increase inthe demand for stone, stone industry has developed rapidly, the increasing number ofthe quarry, the number of abandoned quarry also increased. Abandoned quarry andquarrying treatment technology field of waste to the more backward,causedconsiderable damage and pollution of the environment of the quarry and itssurrounding environment; stacking, destruction and occupy a lot of land; thereforeabandoned quarries restoration is very important.This paper selects the Beiwei basalt quarry for target, which in Hebei province.Based on much research to relevant literature about the quarry restoration. collect thedata about the study area, such as: natural geography, topography, lithology andgeological structure, hydrogeological conditions and so on. The system put forward theabandoned quarries restoration technology: abandoned quarry surveyâ†'restorationplanningâ†'geological disaster preventionâ†'restoration of unstable slope, slag pit,pitâ†'recovery of vegetative cover. Based on vegetation restoration importance ofgovernance in the work in the abandoned quarry, this paper study of focuses on theselection of plant species. Finally, considering the factors in geographical location,climatic conditions, mining conditions, reference management successful cases restorethe local ecology, investigation of native plant species, primary for the25kinds ofplant ecological restoration of mining area, using the analytic hierarchy process forscreening, selected and Setaria viridis, Astragalus adsurgens, Caragana, Hippophaerhamnoides, lespedeza, Broussonetia papyrifera, Platycladus orientalis, elm, Aspen, ivy,grape and other11kinds of plants.
