In the paper, the relationship between tensile properties of the elastic knitted fabric and theclothing pressure were studied. The selected topic has certain practical significance. First of all,the research status of clothing pressure comfort, test methods of clothing pressure and theaffecting factors of clothing pressure were discussed by consulting mass relevant literature. Andthen23kinds of common sportswear elastic knitted fabric were selected. Their tensile properties, such as elongation at the specified force, initial modulus, maximum elastic elongation, creep, force at specified elongation, work at specified elongation and stress relaxation, and clothingpressure at10%,20%,30%,40%,50%elongation were tested and analyzed respectively.Correlation and regression analyses were made between various indicators of tensile properties,as well as between tensile properties and clothing pressure. And three empirical formulas werededuced between elongation, force at specified elongation, initial modulus and clothing pressureat10%,20%,30%,40%,50%elongation respectively. The results indicate that the initial modulus, creep, force at specified elongation, work atspecified elongation are highly correlated with the clothing pressure at50%elongation. And thefour regression equations have certain prediction effect to the clothing pressure. The empiricalformulas of force at specified elongation, initial modulus with the clothing pressure respectivelyare reasonable to predict clothing pressure of different elastic knitted fabric at0%to50%elongation. The research results can provide theoretical basis and practical reference to thedesign and development of elastic sportswear.
