Clothing pressure is an important and indispensable parameter of comfortable and functional of clothing, especially of elastic knitted fabrics. For knitted fabric producer, the cost of testing clothing pressure is expensive and the test is usually hard to carry out. So it is worthy of studying a convenient and feasible method to forecast pressure of knitted fabric by multiple mechanical properties of knitted fabric. This thesis aimed to analyze the clothing pressure performance of elastic knitted fabrics based on their multiple mechanical properties, and objective assess the relationship between pressure performances and multiple mechanical properties by quality. It tries to obtain the base data for clothing pressure evaluation. In order to make a profound comparison and analysis, 23 pieces of elastic knitted fabrics with different proportion of spandex were collected to make a comparative analysis. Elasticity performance, multiple mechanical properties and clothing pressure of these fabrics were measured by using fiber electronic tensile strength tester, Kawabata Evaluation System-FB (KES-FB) and the 3D clothing pressure tester device, respectively. By the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) analysis, it is found that the clothing pressure has a closing relationship with shearing properties, bending properties and tensile properties. Tensile linearity, crosswise bending properties and crosswise shearing properties have a positive correlation with clothing pressure. Tensile resilience has a negative correlation with clothing pressure. The results of multivariate regression analysis indicate that tensile properties have the most influence on the clothing pressure. In order to find the factors which influence the elasticity performance of knitted fabric, this thesis designed 24 kinks of knitted fabrics with different fabric structures and spandex for further analyzing. The results indicate that: (1) the elastic yarn and fabric structure are the most important factors influence on the elasticity performance; (2) Under other constant conditions, the relationship of elasticity of the fabric is that rib 1×1 stitch is higher than plain stitch. For cotton knitted fabric, the crosswise tensile resilience of rib stitch is better than plain stitch, while the longitudinal tensile resilience of the two stitches are almost the same. For the elastic knitted fabrics, both crosswise and longitudinal tensile resilience of rib stitch are better than plain stitch; ( 3) In the same stitch situation, the more spandex fiber, the better tensile resilience of the knitted fabric; (4) For the elastic knitted fabrics, the elasticity performance of crosswise is better than longitudinal. This thesis designed a 3D clothing pressure tester device which can simulate the dynamic pressure performance of elastic knitted fabrics. This device can detect three-dimensional deformation of elastic knitted fabrics over time and record the dynamic pressure. Further analyzing of the dynamic pressure curve of the elastic knit fabric, it is found that the curve can be characterization by three stages: (1) the initial stage of press deformation with high modulus; (2) the low tension deformation stage with low modulus; (3) the large tension deformation stage with high modulus. Obtained by mathematical analysis, the clothing pressure decay has a negative correlation relationship with tensile resilience. The better tensile resilience is, and the smaller clothing pressure decay is. The clothing pressure decay has positive correlation relationship with tension decay. In this thesis, however there are still some shortages to be improved in the future. At the end of the paper dynamic garment pressure would be studied and future developed.
